Ailiva Champ announced that there will be a project called Lovely Idols. She released a picture of the main characters.
There was a poll on a wiki It was called "What should i call the idol group?" The answers were:
LUV (Pronounced "Love")
XOXO (Pronounced "Hugs And Kisses")
And then FigureGunplaFan said that the group will be called "LUV".
March 8 - The main characters' names were revealed. Their names were.
Takahashi Kira - The leader of LUV.
Sotomati Kawai - The member with the really light brown hair. She is also the designer of LUV.
Suzuki Akane - The member with the dark green hair. She is also one of the lyricists of LUV.
Akita Miyuki - The member with the black hair. She is also the current club president of LUV.
Chiba Aoi - The member with the dark blue hair.
Itou Mami - The member with the dark red hair. She is also the composer for LUV.
Yamasaki Hana - The member with the light green hair. She is also the former idol club president of LUV.
Tanaka Sakura - The member with the light pink hair.
Oshiro Sakurako - The member with the violet hair. She is also one of the lyricists of LUV.

Second single and sub-units had been announced.
Character introductions had been revealed.
The second single center announced to be Takahashi Kira.
Sub-Units announced to have Kira X Sakura X Hana, Sakurako X Miyuki X Aoi, and Akane X Mami X Kawai.
Sub-Unit names announced to be KaSaH, SiMAh, and Classa Nova.
Second single costumes announced to be "Spring-Themed", so the title announced to be "SPRING RUSH".
The second single pattern is announced by its original creator. The pattern are as follows Kira, Aoi, Hana, Kawai, Miyuki, Sakura, Akane, Mami, Sakurako.
